Notice

Notice is hereby given that the 2018 Annual General Meeting of the Church Monuments Society will be held at 2.00pm on Saturday, 22nd September 2018 at St Olave, Hart Street, London EC3R 7NB.

This is your opportunity to talk about the Society’s activities and vote for a new President. We will also be unveiling the winner of the 2017 Photography competition.

At the conclusion of business there will be a tour of the monuments, including that of Elizabeth Pepys, and Dr Julian Litten will talk about Samuel Pepys. The meeting will conclude with refreshments.

The nearest underground station is Tower Hill and the nearest railway station is Fenchurch Street. Details of car parks in the area can be found on the internet.

A copy of the Minutes of the 2017 Annual General Meeting is available on the Society’s website and a printed copy may be requested from the Hon Secretary, Hilary Wheeler (address on back cover).

Do make a note of the date so that you will not forget to join fellow members for your meeting. If you are planning to attend and are able to let the Secretary know this will assist with the planning of catering. A new President will be elected at this meeting so this is an opportunity to thank Jean Wilson for her generous and innovative leadership, and to learn something of the new President’s plans.
