Jean Wilson spent her academic career teaching in
universities in the UK & USA with a very short stint in China. She has
published books on the court cults of Elizabeth I, and Shakespearean
playhouses, but her main interest is early modern British monuments, to
which she brings (she hopes) a late-twentieth-century feminist approach.
