Ann Adams is an independent scholar who was awarded her PhD – on the monuments of the knights of the Order of the Golden Fleece in fifteenth-century Burgundy – from the Courtauld Institute of Art in 2018. She co-edited Church Monuments (2019–24) and has published on monuments in Belgium and France. Her research interests include funerary monuments, memory and commemoration, patronage and chivalry.
