Having given two public lectures at the Antiquaries in April 2018 about the Protestant Cemetery in Rome, Nicholas Stanley-Price FSA has now published two new articles about the graves in this cemetery. One, entitled ‘The Old Cemetery for foreigners in Rome with a new inventory of its burials’ and published in Opuscula. Annual of the Swedish Institutes at Athens and Rome 13, adds substantially to the numbers of known burials made in the Old Cemetery (1716-1822. The other article – ‘Memorial sculpture in the Protestant Cemetery at Rome. New discoveries and an inventory of identified works’,  Opuscula. Annual of the Swedish Institutes at Athens and Rome 15 – lists more than 130 tombs for which the sculptor or designer can be identified, often through signed works not previously recognised.
