In Memoriam Father Jerome Bertram

By CMS in CMS news, Recent publications

Christian Steer has sent us this:

As many of you will know our late friend Fr Jerome Bertram studied, lectured and wrote about medieval brasses for over 50 years. He was a loyal and long-standing member of the Monumental Brass Society and was their senior Vice President. This year their annual journal, the Transactions of the Monumental Brass Society, will be a special issue in tribute to Fr Jerome. It will contain two of his final articles and also reviews of his last books on the brasses of Oxfordshire and Sussex which came out in 2019.

The journal is sent free to members of the MBS but a special offer of £15.00 (free postage within the U.K, £5.00 for overseas) is available to Fr Jerome’s many friends who might like to have a copy of this memorial issue (or members of the MBS who might like to buy an extra copy). I’m taking the opportunity to attach a flyer on how to order a copy – if you are based overseas without a British cheque book, do please get in touch with Christian by email or via our contacts page to discuss how to order.

It is anticipated that the volume will be published and distributed during the autumn.
