Chloë-Jade Hill is a final year PhD student (Wolfson Scholar) in early modern history at the University of Southampton. Her research explores domestic music-making in sixteenth and seventeenth century England, using the musical environment of everyday life and its relationship to material culture and architectural space as a lens through which to explore social and cultural developments in the early modern home. Chloë lectures across the History and Music departments at the University of Southampton, in addition to working as a Researcher for the National Trust, where she is involved with the re-development of Montacute House.
