Wanted: Membership Secretary

By CMS in CMS news

The Church Monuments Society is looking for a new Membership Secretary. This is one of the most important roles in the Society. You are the first contact for new members, and you maintain the database that helps us to inform members about events and other news. The duties include maintaining a secure record of membership including email and postal addresses for mailings; keeping records of membership payments in liaison with the Treasurer, and sending reminder letters as required; contacting members by email or post at the request of other Council members; preparing notices for the website and newsletter. You will need good communication and organisational skills and attention to detail. You sit on the Society’s Council and you have a key role in planning for and running the Society.

Training and guidance is available, and support from other members of Council. Equipment and expenses are provided. If you might be interested, get in touch with the President via the contact form at   https://churchmonumentssociety.org/contact-us for more information and a chat.

Ideally we would like to find a candidate as soon as possible, so that you could shadow the present Membership Secretary.
