Editorial vacancies

By CMS in Uncategorised

Are you interested in an editorial role with Church Monuments, the Society’s annual, peer-reviewed journal? We have two vacant positions, both honorary: co-editor and reviews editor. Prior experience is not essential – the editorial team works together and guidance will be on hand – but candidates should be well-organised, have good communication skills and be willing and able to commit time.

The roles provide an opportunity to contribute directly to the aims of the Society, and editors benefit in return from exposure to up-to-date research across a wide range of topics, periods and methodologies, as well as experience of academic publishing. For younger applicants this is a chance to add an important role to their CV.

Nicola Lowe (reviews editor): reviews.churchmonumentssociety@gmail.com

How to contribute

We welcome contributions on a range of topics related to monuments and commemoration. Initial enquiries about substantial articles for possible publication in the Journal should be sent to the Editor. Shorter articles and news items can be published in the Newsletter. We also welcome less formal contributions for Monument of the Month and the Blog.

Additional guides on submissions, copyright and publishing online can be found in this section.
