Membership Subscriptions in June 2017

Many members will be aware that the subscription rates have not been reviewed now for a long time. Council has given careful thought about the how best to implement an increase. At the AGM in September 2016 it was agreed that:

1. The annual subscription for the individual membership is to be increased from £20 to £28.

2. However, to ease the task of renewals for the Membership Secretary, members who pay by bank standing order will be given a discount of £3, and so only pay £25 per year.

3. The proposed annual subscription for other categories of membership are: Student £15, Family( including 2 people at the same address) £33 or £30 by standing order, and Corporate at £30, with no discount facility.

4. The annual subscription is due on 1st June, and the changes will be implemented from June 2017.

The greater use of standing orders by members will help reduce the postage charges currently incurred by the Society. A form for paying by standing order can be downloaded here , or on request (to the membership secretary, Dr. Clive Easter) will be posted to you.
